Shipping Policy:

Domestic Orders:

Alternative Surf can ship to any address in the USA. We ship out of Seal Beach, California. UPS Ground shipping usually takes 1-2 business days within California. Shipping to other areas usually takes between 1-6 business days. International orders will take longer.

We offer FREE STANDARD SHIPPING to MOST USA zip code for orders $125 and up. Orders will be shipped UPS ground or USPS. Method of shipping is at the discretion of Alternative Surf.

The offer is valid for orders that will fit in a single box (up to 2 bodyboards plus some additional small products.). Fins sometimes have to ship separately due to box size.  If an order requires more than one box, actual shipping charges will apply to any additional boxes. These charges will be added after your order has been submitted. We will contact you with any additional charges by email or telephone. This offer cannot be combined with any other promotional offer and can not be combined with previous orders. If returning an item that previously qualified for standard shipping, the cost of shipping will be deducted from the refund amount. The customer is responsible for shipping costs on all returned merchandise. This offer is not valid on canceled merchandise. This promotion may be modified or terminated at any time without notice.

If any items in qualifying order are out of stock, your order will be held until everything is available to ship unless the customer agrees to pay for an additional shipment.

Bodyboard – 7 pounds
Swimfins – 5 pounds
T-shirt – 1/2 pound
DVD – 1/2 pound

International Orders:

Alternative Surf can ship most items to most countries. Some countries have postal codes and guidelines that prohibit certain sizes of packaging. Know your local shipping rules before placing an order and allow extra shipping time.

Alternative Surf only charges customers the actual cost to ship products to you. It is the customer’s responsibility to determine any additional costs such as, but not limited to customs import duties, brokerage fees, local delivery charges, etc. If a package is returned to us, any additional delivery charges will not be refunded. Please make sure the shipping address is complete and accurate.  The customer will be responsible for any charges and fees, including shipping charges back to us and costs to reship to you, when items are returned due to an invalid address. Additional shipping instructions can be emailed to info@alternativesurf.com and/or indicated at time of placing the order. Packages are often delayed by customs in the receiving country, so shipping times are estimated.

When ID is requested:
In some cases, in order to prevent credit card fraud, domestic and international customers may be required to fax or email a copy of a photo ID and billing address as proof that they are the actual cardholder. You will be contacted by email or telephone if this is the case. We often require this on orders where the billing address and shipping address are different or where our credit card company can not verify the address.

Order not received?:
Please allow a reasonable amount of time for shipping, but if your order has shipped and you haven’t received it, email us at info@alternativesurf.com and we will trace the order.  If a package was not received, we reserve the option to wait 30–60 days depending on shipping method before the order is refunded or a duplicate order shipped. This wait is due to shipping carrier guidelines.

Out-of-stock items:
If an order contains items that are out of stock, the order will be held until we can fulfill the entire order. You will be notified by email or telephone. The customer will be given an estimated availability date of the items out of stock and given the option to wait for the products to become available, ship the items currently available, ship a comparable item, or any additional options.

Damaged/incomplete shipments:
If you receive a shipment that is damaged or incomplete, please contact us immediately at info@alternativesurf.com. Alternative Surf and/or the shipping carriers may require a digital photo of any damaged items as proof. Shipments are usually insured, and retention of all packaging materials and damaged items are required in order to provide a refund or replacement. The customer may be required to return the damaged item. Alternative Surf will reimburse agreed upon shipping costs once we have received the item.

Defective items:
Most items at Alternative Surf have warranties through the manufacturer. Some of these warranties have time limits. Alternative Surf and/or the manufacturer may require a digital photo showing the defect.  The manufacturer may repair or replace the defective item at their discretion. The customer may be required to return the defective item. Alternative Surf will reimburse agreed upon shipping costs once we have received the item.

Return Policy:

Products returned within 30 days of purchase are eligible for a full refund or exchange.  Customers will be responsible for any original and return shipping charges.  We accept returns only on new resalable merchandise that has not been worn, washed or used. Bodbyboards must be in original shrink wrap and leashes in original packaging. Returns for DVD’s and other media can not be given once the shrink wrap has been removed or seal broken.

Credits issued for returns.

Credits will be issued after we receive and inspect the return. Please allow one to two billing cycles for the credit card company to process the credit and have it appear on your account.
